How much do you spend on insurance? Do you think it should be cheaper?
I know a lot of people who spend way more than you would expect on health insurance and others who seem to have full coverage for next to nothing. I personally get my insurance through my job and pay $190 a month for pretty good coverage. I know people who spend double that for much less.
My insurance has gone up and down over the years. The cheapest it ever was for me was in 2017 and 2018. I am not sure why this is or what happened there but since 2019 and especially now in 2021, my monthly cost for the same coverage I had 4 years ago is 35% higher.
I spend around $150 a month myself, but I have a fairly cheaper health insurance than others. But it gets the job done. If I die, my family is at least covered with burial costs and they will have some money left over in case they need it.
